My kid checked the jar every morning, and by day three the Edaphosaurus had a full coat of shiny blue crystals. The rocks in the kit grew too, so the whole thing turned into a little crystal garden on our windowsill. Simple enough that he did most of it himself, which never happens.

My 8-year-old checked on the crystals every morning like it was a science project she actually wanted to do. Took a few days for the Edaphosaurus to get fully covered, but the rock pieces looked cool too.

My 8-year-old checked the dinosaur every morning to watch the crystals creep up, and by day four the whole Edaphosaurus was covered. The steps were simple enough that he did most of it himself, which was the best part.
