The little chisel and brush kept my daughter busy for two hours straight, and she actually dug the whole skeleton out without breaking it. The sand is packed tight enough that it doesn't crumble everywhere, which I appreciated. Just watch out for the small parts if you have a toddler around.
My 6-year-old spent almost an hour chipping the sand away and was thrilled when the little skeleton finally came out in one piece. The tool is small enough for his hands, and honestly the sand cleanup was easier than I expected.
