Carter ★★★★★

My niece is obsessed with the sourdough starter now, she keeps asking when we can feed our own "bread pet." The way the book turns Cora's exponential growth problem into a fun STEM lesson is really clever. Great pick for any kid who likes kitchen experiments.

Bought this for my 6-year-old who's been helping me feed our real starter, and she loved the idea of a kid keeping a "bread pet" alive. The STEM angle works without feeling like a lesson, though the ending wrapped up a little too neatly for me.
