Bought this for my nephew's birthday and the roar is surprisingly loud for a toy this size. The removable sound box is a nice touch since you can still let them play with it quietly. The pull-tab confused me at first until I realized the noise doesn't kick in until it's out.

My 4-year-old has barely put this T-Rex down since we unboxed it. The roar is loud enough to feel real but the removable sound box means I can quiet it when I need to. I did panic for a second thinking it was broken until I found the pull-tab.
