The 174 pieces were plenty for my son to build a rather elaborate castle with a drawbridge. He's four and needed some help clicking the connectors, but once it was up he refused to come out for dinner.

My kids built a two-room fort with a tunnel using all 174 pieces, and it actually held up through a whole weekend of play. The connectors snap together tight enough that the walls don't collapse when they crawl through.
