The Swahili numbers next to the English ones made this way more fun than our other counting books. My four-year-old keeps pointing at the elephants and asking what Arusha is doing, so we end up talking about Tanzania every night. The rhymes actually flow, which I can't say for most of the board book

My toddler now counts to ten by yelling "elephant!" thanks to the Maasai counting journey through Tanzania. The illustrations of Arusha and the other children spotting animals on the grasslands keep him glued to every page.
