Took this camping and the kids fought over who got to hold the flashlight, so the button being easy for little thumbs actually helped. The five slides click in snugly and the animal images stay sharp on the tent wall even from a few feet back.

My nephew is obsessed with the bear and deer slides, and he figured out how to click through them on his own in about two minutes. The flashlight body feels sturdy enough for a four-year-old to drop a few times. Five slides is plenty to keep him busy on a rainy afternoon.
