Test your art knowledge with Makayla! Memory cards introduce children to famous works of art, the artists, and to important classic Black artists.
My niece is only six but she already knows more Black artists than I do thanks to this game. The memory card format keeps her entertained while secretly teaching her names and paintings, which is exactly what I wanted.
The artwork on the cards is lovely and my daughter actually recognized a couple pieces from a museum trip. That said, the cardstock feels a little thin for the price, and with 7-year-olds flipping them fast I'm not sure how long they'll hold up. Good concept, just wish the cards were sturdier.
