My 7-year-old read this twice in one sitting, which never happens. The South Pole mix-up had her guessing what would happen next, and the crew's problem-solving kept her hooked through every chapter.

The premise of the Christmas lists ending up at the South Pole is clever and my kids liked the STEM angle, but the story felt rushed in the middle chapters. For a holiday read-aloud it works fine, though I wish the illustrations were a bit bigger on the page.
